100 Scholarships for Healthcare Education

Nursing Scholarships

1. AACN Scholarships — These awards are given by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses to help nursing students extend their skills and knowledge beyond what can be learned in a traditional classroom setting.

2. A.C.N.M. Foundation Awards—The American College of Nurse Midwives offers a number of awards and scholarships for students pursuing the study of midwifery.

3. Clinique Nursing Scholarship —The Clinique nursing scholarship is designed to help women who are working towards a career in nursing. Recipients must work at least part-time as Clinique associates in order to receive the award.

4. National Black Nurses Association Scholarship Program —This provides an annual scholarship to students enrolled in a B.S.N., A.D., Diploma or L.P.N. / L.V.N program.

5. Career Mobility Scholarship Award —Students enrolled in LPN-to-RN, RN-to-BSN, RN-to-MSN, BSN-to-MSN or MSN-to-doctorate programs who have been a member of AMSN for at least one year are eligible to apply.

6. AAOHN Foundation Research Grants —RN students who are interested in doing research on occupational and environmental health nursing can apply for this award.

7. William R. Goldfarb Memorial Scholarship —This is a scholarship meant to help undergraduate students majoring in a medical/nursing field. Financial need must be shown in order to qualify.

8. NAPNAP Foundation Research Grant —The National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners sponsors this award for pediatric nurses who are interested in improving the lives and health of their patients.

9. Eight and Forty Lung and Respiratory Nursing Scholarship Fund —This fund was established to help registered nurses complete additional academic training.

10. American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses Scholarship Program —Nurses who are interested in furthering their education and learning more about perianesthesia are encouraged to apply for this award.

11. Abe and Ester Hagiwara Student Aid Award —This $1,000 scholarship is meant to help students with a financial need.

12. Anthony J. Janetti Nursing Scholarship —Employees of a Banner Health facility who are interested in furthering their nursing education can apply for this scholarship.

13. Edna A. Lauterbach Scholarship Fund —The Edna A. Lauterbach is aimed toward New York students working in the nursing field.

14. American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Scholarship and Grant Program —This organization offers 28 different scholarships for university students each year.

15. Alabama Nursing Scholarship Program —For Alabama students interested in a career in nursing, this scholarship can help pay for their education.

16. AANA Research Scholars Grant —AANA’s grant is meant to fund research to help nurse anesthetists by giving out a $25,000 each year.

17. AACN Educational Advancement Scholarship —The American Association of Critical-Care Nurses offers this scholarship to help members with RN licenses with experience working in critical care units.

18. Stressed Out Nurses Scholarships —This $500 scholarship is meant for nursing students who can show that they handle stress well.

19. NAANA Scholarship Program —Awards are offered by the National American Arab Nurses Association in amounts ranging from $500 to $1,000.

20. Charlotte McGuire Scholarships —This scholarship is supported by the American Holistic Nurses’ Association, which has given out more than $30,000 to deserving students since 1997.

21. AMSN Scholarships —The Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses offers many awards for students working towards a career in the surgical nursing profession.

22. Cordelia M (Dee) and Irvin Esry Undergraduate Nursing Scholarship Fund —Nursing students who are currently enrolled in a related major are open to apply for this scholarship. Preference will be given to students from rural communities.

23. 2010 A Nurse I Am Scholarship —This scholarship is aimed at nursing students who are currently enrolled in an accredited program.

24. Fund the Drive for Nurses Scholarship Fund —Students currently enrolled at the University of Missouri’s School of Nursing are eligible to apply for this, regardless of financial need or academic accomplishments.

25. Arkansas Legion Auxiliary Nurses Scholarship —Children of veterans who live in Arkansas and are interested in studying nursing are eligible to receive this annual scholarship.

26. McKesson Nursing Scholarships —Twenty-five of these $1,000 awards are given to low-income nursing students each school year.

27. Mississippi Nurses Foundation —This group is offer $6,000 stipends to two RNs attending an accredited Nursing Master’s Program during the upcoming year.

28. St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation Scholarship —Nursing students living in Southern Maryland are eligible to apply for this award.

29. BSN Scholarship —Nursing students at Mount Sinai Hospital are eligible for this award, which gives $3,000 per semester for senior nursing students in the BSN Program.

30. ACS Doctoral Degree Scholarships in Cancer Nursing —This award is meant to help students pursing the study of cancer nursing research. The stipend is up to $15,000 per year.

Physical Therapy Scholarships

56. AOTF Scholarship Program —More than 50 scholarships ranging in value from $150 to $5,000 will be given to qualifying physical therapy and occupational therapy students this year.

57. Kitty Rodman Award of Excellence —Each May, one student in the graduate-level UNLV Physical Therapy Program is selected for this scholarship award.

58. Ida Maye & Enoch Carlson Physical Therapy Scholarship —This scholarship is intended to recognize one deserving physical therapy student at Mount St. Mary’s College each year.

59. UNC-Chapel Hill Physical Therapy MS Scholarship —The University of North Carolina gives out its own scholarship to physical therapy students thanks to an endowment from the Medical Foundation of MC.

60. AfterCollege Physical Therapy Student Scholarship —Four of these $500 scholarships are given to students seeking a graduate degree in physical therapy each year.

61. AMBUCS Scholarship Program —A national award from AMBUCS goes to help junior/senior-level physical therapy students pay for their tuition at an undergraduate or graduate institution.

62. Charles A. Frueauff Foundation Scholarship —One outstanding student in the departments of Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech-Language Pathlogy and Audiology at Ithaca College is eligible to receive this award each year.

63. Florence P Kendall Doctoral Scholarships —This $5,000 award is intended to help physical therapists and physical therapy assistants pay for higher education in an accredited doctoral program.

64. DAR Occupational/Physical Therapy Scholarship —The Daughter’s of the American Revolution gives this award to one student attending an accredited occupational therapy institution each academic year.

65. Gordon Seagraves Cummings Scholarship —Physical therapy students at Georgia State University are encouraged to apply for this annual scholarship.

Physician Assistant Scholarships

66. CAPA Scholarships —The California Academy of Physician Assistants offers three awards for qualifying physician assistant students each year.

67. AAPA Annual Student Scholarships —More than 1,200 physician assistant students across the country have received this award since it began in 1989.

68. Wayne D. Bottom Physician Assistant Scholarship Fund —Since 2003, this scholarship fund has been helping students pay their way through school to become physician assistants.

69. Andy Stolper Memorial Scholarship —This $250 scholarship is given to a senior student studying to become a physician assistant.

70. Navy Health Professions Scholarship Program —Eligible PA students can receive both 100% tuition assistance as well as a monthly stipend when completing a physician assistant program at an eligible institution.

71. AFPPA Scholarships —Several PA students are awarded this scholarship from the Association of Family Practice Physician Assistants, which is worth $1,500, each academic year.

72. Howard and Effie Birch Physician Assistant Scholarship —This $1,250 annual award is given to a junior or senior enrolled in the Physician Assistant program at Union College who are in good academic standing and demonstrate a strong financial need.

73. MAPA Student Scholarship —Up to five first-year students receive this award from the Minnesota Academy of Physician Assistants each year.

74. Florida Academy of Physician Assistants scholarship —The FAPA Foundation offers $2,500 scholarships to students enrolling in PA school in the state of Florida.

75. New Jersey Physician Assistant Foundation —A $1,000 award is given to a deserving PA student residing in New Jersey on an annual basis.

76. National Health Service Corps. Scholarship —Undergraduate physician assistant students who agree to spend at least one year working in an approved healthcare facility after graduation can receive this financial award.

89. Morris and Josephine Ciulla Scholarship —Undergraduate students pursuing a career in the field of medical technology at the University of Delaware are eligible for this award.

90. Julian and Adele Astion Endowed Scholarship in Medical Technology —This is an award meant for students enrolled at the University of Washington School of Medicine, and who are interested in the field of medical technology.

91. Aberdeen Area Medical Foundation Scholarship —South Dakota residents interested in the field of medical technology are eligible to apply for this award.

92. American Institute of Medical Technology —This university-sponsored award program is meant to inspire students interested in attaining a medical technology career.

93. Dr. Robert T. Crews Medical Technology Scholarship —This award will go to a senior medical technology student who can demonstrate financial need. To be eligible, you must attend classes at Austin Peay State University.

94. AMT Outstanding Student Award —One student each year will be recognized by the American Medical Technologists and receive a $250 cash award.

95. Affinity Health System Scholarships —Sophomore-level students enrolled in a medical technology major are eligible to receive up to $500 per semester through this scholarship.

96. AfterCollege Medical Technologist Student Scholarship —To be eligible for this scholarship, students must be working toward a career as a medical technologist or laboratory scientist.

97. American Medical Technologist (AMT) Scholarship —This is a one-year, $500 scholarship for students.

98. SIEMENS U.S. Scholarship Program —The technology giant offers an annual scholarship to students interested in entering the healthcare field.

99. ASCLS Awards —The American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science offers a number of financial award opportunities for students interested in the technical aspects of healthcare.
